In order to contain the devastating salt wraith known as The Purifier, the government erected the Slayground arena upon its home- the Great Salt Falts of Utah. Enraging human rights organizations everywhere is the fact that the Slayground's battlefield lies significantly below the regulation size for AMPUTHEATRE arenas (as decided by the Geneva Convention). The Evil Wardens none-too-begrudgingly cite both obscure, outdated zoning laws (circa 1800's) and "increased audience attendance" that forced compromising additional seating. The real reason is that the Wardens grew colossally weary of competing Slashers using the arena's original length to avoid the Slayground's star Slashers- Maneater (who set an AMPUTHEATRE record for skinning and killing four Slashers in five minutes) and the Jack Of Clubs (a nearly indestructible monster)- Now the more compact arena guarantees more bloodshed and less television airtime wasted on people running. That still wasn't enough for the Wardens: a giant steel fan in the wall diminishes the arena even further.
