Once a mighty arena with rotating buzzsaws, "smart" pendulums, and conveyor belts, Madman Square Garden was ravaged by budget cuts due to the "Allergy Scandal" which occurred within its very walls. When an assassin suffered a debilitating side effect from the Amputech in her bloodstream, she was mutilated in her time of weakness. Numerous payoffs to the United Nations and Amnesty International were required to keep the AMPUTHEATRE Project afloat, and the Garden felt the brunt of the debt. The arena has now been refurbished with a large steel cage, blood-draining grates, and several military munitions. This no-frills approach has given combat in Madman Square Garden somewhat of a "streetfight" feel, and the battles have been no less brutal. Landmines, both explosive and incendiary, entice Slashers to enter the somewhat safer walls of the cage, where weapons and spells await. A biohazard disposal unit sees many combatants burned, blinded, and sickened by hazardous waste. Also, the sight of an immolated Slasher running pell-mell into the Garrote's throat-level, razor-sharp blade is rarely equalled.
