Accidentally built upon the unmarked grave of a murderous gunfighter, The Carcasseum was designed to resemble a slaughterhouse with Gothic overtones. Gargoyles taunt the combatants from heavy, blood-stained pillars. Losers of previous battles are wrapped in plastic, and sway from suspended hooks in what the Evil Wardens call the Forest of Flesh. Grates, rusted from offal, swallow up the gallons of blood that only Carcasseum combat can inflict. Mandible Incorporated also uses this arena as a promotional tool by contributing its Mandible Snare. Able to quietly pulp bone and muscle into a viscous meat by-product, the Snare is at once the most feared torture implement and most popular kitchen appliance in the world. The Wardens even loosed a pair of hyenas into the arena, to snap up any limbs the Snare inexplicably missed. The entire arena's floor is of stainless steel- save for one six-foot stretch of recently disturbed, shallow earth. Competitors in The Carcasseum have been known to use the hanging corpses in the Forest of Flesh as cover.
